The Davao National Laundry Conference is the first event in Mindanao focused on commercial & industrial laundry, bringing the vast world of professional textile care under one roof on November 15 to 16 at Seda Abreeza Davao.

The event is organized by Is It Clean, a group of laundry industry advocates with a mission to train the next generation of laundry & housekeeping leaders and raise the bar of the profession. Since January 2024, Is It Clean has conducted 12 editions of The Laundry Masterclass, the Philippines’ first program for industrial laundry, having trained 250 executive housekeepers, laundry managers, and laundry business owners across 3 cities (Manila, Cebu, and Baguio).

What is unique about the Davao National Laundry Conference?

Is It Clean hosted the Baguio Industrial Laundry Conference at Le Monet on October 2, 2024, welcoming 50 executive housekeepers, laundry managers, and industrial laundry owners from the City of Pines.

The conference will run for 2 days. November 15 (Day 1) will focus on “Foundations of Laundry Science” from 1pm to 5pm, while November 16 (Day 2) will delve on “Advance Laundry Operations & Linen Care for Industrial, Hotels, and Hospitals”.

Day 1 is perfect for both industrial and commercial laundry operators. Here, you will get an appreciation of the science & technology governing quality wash, such as Sinner’s Circle, water quality, mechanics, and heat. You will also learn the causes of damages and smells and how to treat stains and common laundry challenges.

If you do not have any technical foundation laundry science but own a laundry shop, Day 1 is a must-have.

Meanwhile, Day 2 builds on the principles of Day 1 and takes the lessons to an industrial scale. Here, we will tackle the proper washing & drying methodologies, the wash formula, and industrial-scale equipment. There will be special sessions in the afternoon for hotel and hospital laundry.
