Mindanao’s leading hospitals and healthcare institutions are all geared up for the 2nd National Healthcare Laundry Workshop, happening on May 12 at Hotel Tropika, Davao City.
This second edition follows the successful first run of Is It Clean’s National Healthcare Laundry Workshop last August 2025 at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center, Makati. During that event, the Philippine Hospital Association’s then-President Jose Santiago emphasized the importance of hospital laundry in healthcare service ecosystem.
The Davao workshop will be led by two of the Philippines’ leading experts in industrial and hospital laundry: Engr Romeo Apolega, President & CEO of Is It Clean, and Rackie Estaniel, Senior Fellow for Healthcare Laundry.
Apolega brings over 53 years of professional experience in institutional laundry and cleaning from companies such as La Balina Steam Laundry (owned by Ayala Corporation), Kalinisan Steam Laundry, Diversey, Chemlux, PowerClean, Oxychem, and BASF.
Meanwhile, Estaniel brings a wealth of experience of operating hospital laundry in the Middle East and the Philippines. She was the head of laundry of Sidra Medicine in Qatar, one of the region’s most advanced healthcare institutions. She also served as associate director of support services at St Luke’s Medical Center, overseeing laundry operations.
The 2nd National Healthcare Laundry Workshop is supported by Qlotho (official linen supplier), System Technik Machines and Products Corp, ELA Chemicals, and AMI.
Registration is open until May 11 through this link.
